Before We Start: This article are for users who need to add a new device to Duo. The main use case for this article is when an end user gets a new phone.
Step 1: Sign into Okta at: ariento.com/login
Step 2: Click on the Settings button.
Step 3: Click on Add New Device
Step 4: Choose an authentication method and complete two-factor authentication to begin adding your new device.
If you're adding a new device to replace one that you previously activated for Duo Push, don't select the Duo Push authentication method on this page unless you still have the original device. If you don't have the original device, but you have a new device with the same phone number, then you can authenticate with a phone call or SMS passcode.
You can't add a new device from this page if you do not have access to any of your previously enrolled authentication devices; you'll need to contact Ariento Support.
Step 5: Select Mobile Phone and click Continue.
Step 6: Confirm the region and enter the mobile number that you will be registering on the new device.
This can be the same or a different number. Please make sure that you put a check mark next to
the number you entered to confirm. Then select, Continue.
Step 7: Select the mobile phone type and click Continue.
Step 8: Follow the instruction that you will see on the screen below. For Android, please go to the play
store and download, “Duo Mobile.” For the iPhone (iOS) please go to the “App Store” and
download, “Duo Mobile”. Then select, I have Duo Mobile.
Step 9: From your phone, open Duo Mobile and follow the instructions below: After you scan the
barcode, your computer screen will show the green check mark. Proceed by selecting,
Continue.
Step 10: On this screen, if you have a different number, you will see the option to delete one or the other by selecting the settings icon and removing your old number. You will want to make sure that you
do this or change the “default device” to show your current new number so that it sends the
DUO prompt to the correct phone. Please make sure that it shows saved and then select,
Back to Login.
Congratulations, you have successfully transferred DUO to your new mobile device.
